Meet Letitia

Letitia believes that mental health is foundational in one’s overall health and happiness. Taking the step to focus on one’s strengths and well-being is the agent of change needed for our growth that begins from within. Letitia provides a safe, calm, and interactive environment free from judgement.  She is cognizant and respectful of religious and spiritual beliefs, as well as cultural norms. Foundational to her practice is the use of therapeutic play to meet the needs of children of all ages and the integration of movement, body awareness, and various self-care techniques for all clients.

Due to her commitment in ensuring the well-being and education of children and adolescents, she has dedicated over twenty years to the education field as both a teacher and a school social worker.  Letitia earned her Masters in Social Work from Aurora University in 2006 and has applied those learned skills throughout her educational, personal, and therapeutic journey. Letitia is well-versed in meeting the needs of children and adolescents with Individualized Education Plans (IEP), 504 Plans, managing stressors and pressures related to academics and the social aspects of school, and development of practical strategies that can be transferred from the clinical setting to the educational setting.  She is also a licensed foster parent and has a comprehensive understanding of the needs of children in care.
