Waking Your Truth
“Every Truth that finally wakes up in you will change the rules of your life. ”
— Caroline Myss
THE very thing I LOVE about Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy is that it teaches you how to listen and find your own Truth.
And no – I am not talking about the Truth that matches the lies you have told yourself for years, what society has taught you in order to gain approval or what your family of origin told you who you needed to be in order to gain love.
I am talking about the kind of Truth that has the capital T – the kind of Truth that sets you free – the Truth that you historically have stuffed down and kept quiet through blissful ignorance and pretending it isn’t there.
But let me tell you something girlfriend….your pretending isn’t fooling anyone and ignorance is not bliss. In fact, all it does is make you miserable. I know….I’ve been there, done that.
I am talking about the Truth that when you finally FEEL it – a great wave of relief washes over you because you finally connect with YOU – that authentic part of yourself that needs to let go, just be and come out to play every damn day.
Once you start to connect….really connect….with this inner Truth – YOU will never be the same. Life changes and how you are in it changes.
Yes, I know. Change can be scary and hard. Yet, here is what is even scarier….
Life is too short not to be 100% unapologetically YOU. We are not here to fit into boxes that weren’t created by our own rules. The world needs us all to be authentically who we are. You have your own voice, thoughts, opinions, gifts, talents and abilities that are only YOURS to share. If you don’t share them, the rest of us are missing out on the magic that is YOU and YOU are missing out on finding the joy of living a life that is in alignment with who you are here to be.
It’s time to start writing a different story for your life and change the rules you are living by. YOU are your own expert, guru, teacher, master, teacher, leader, sage and guiding light.
Find your Truth. Write new rules. Change your life.
Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
